Episode 1

1. Episode 1

Abdel Halim's mother dies shortly after giving birth to him, and his sister Alyah looks after him. Halim's father dies after being threatened to be kicked out of the land for not paying the rent. Sheikh Bahtimy is arrested by the British forces.

Episode 2

2. Episode 2

Ismail looks for a job to support his siblings Alyah, Mohamed, and Halim. Alyah tries to prevent Halim from swimming in the canal. As the siblings move to Zagazig, Ismail studies at the Music Institute in Cairo while Halim's singing talent starts to show.

Halim breaks his leg while climbing a tree. Ismail returns from Cairo after graduating from the Music Institute, he plays the oud and sings with his siblings. Halim continues to learn music in school and learns that he contracted schistosomiasis. He evades taking the antidote for fear of injections.

Halim goes with Ismail to apply for the Music Institute, and he gets accepted. Ismail becomes an employee at the Ministry of Health. Alyah wonders if she should get married or look after her siblings. Ismail refuses that Halim sings at weddings.

Mohamed is released after being arrested during demonstrations. As Halim graduates and works as a music teacher in Tanta, the students make fun of him because of his young age, but they admire his beautiful voice, and he falls for his colleague Seham.

Seham leaves Halim because of his weak character. Halim goes with Kamal Al Taweel to a nightclub and they listen to Mohamed El Mougy singing. Halim is fired from the institute for his absence. When Abdel Gahni El Sayed is late for his radio appointment, Halim sings in his place.

El Mougy fails to sell one of Halim's songs. Halim changes his name from Abdel Halim Shabanah to Abdel Halim Hafez in recognition of the man who discovered him, Hafez Abdel Wahab. After getting rejected by the Broadcasting Committee on the pretext of singing in a new style, Halim passes the test.

Mohammed Abdel Wahab listens to Halim's singing in his office. Halim is introduced to attorney Magdy Al-Amrousy and journalist Ihsan Abdel Quddous. The British forces besiege the Ismailia governorate building. Halim signs a contract with a concert contractor in Alexandria.

Alyah asks Ismail to get married. Halim is devastated after the audience dislike his songs when he comes on stage. The Free Officers Movement led by Gamal Abdel Nasser works to put an end to the King's reign.

Mary Queeny refuses to give Halim a chance to star in a movie because his appearance is inappropriate. Halim is invited to sing in front of the Revolutionary Command Council, but he refuses to sing when it becomes very late.

Youssef Wahbi lets Halim sing on stage, and the audience love his performance. He celebrates with his family. Halim signs a movie contract with Mohammed Abdel Wahab.

Halim collaborates with composer Ali Ismael on the song 'Ya Mughrimin' (Those in Love). Halim returns to singing in Alexandria and is met with great success, which makes singers Abdel Gahni El Sayed and Abdel Aziz Mahmoud jealous of him. Shehata asks Alyah to get engaged to Firdous.

Halim starts filming 'Melody of Devotion', and Kamal Al Taweel and Mounir Mourad compose the film's songs. Helmy Halim offers for Halim to star in the film 'Our Beautiful Days' alongside Faten Hamama and Omar Sharif. Mohamed Naguib is relieved of his position and confined to his residence.

Halim and Abdel Wahab have a misunderstanding but they resolve it. The paper perpetuates a rumor that Halim and Shadia are in love. Abdel Wahab composes the song 'I Am Yours Forever' for Halim. Halim sings 'Toba' (Never Again) on stage, with great success.

In solidarity with Abdel Nasser, Halim sings 'We Are the People'. Halim produces the film 'Dalila', and he's taken to the hospital due to schistosomiasis. Alyah refuses to marry the journalist Salah Roshdy. The Suez Canal Company is nationalized and the Tripartite Aggression on Egypt takes place.

As Halim suffers because of his illness, Alyah asks him to stay strong. Umm Kulthum sings 'Walla Zaman Ya Selahy' by Salah Jahin and Kamal Al Taweel. Samira asks Ismail to sing and compose for his brother but he refuses.

While filming 'Girls of Today', Gigi asks Halim to stay away from her because she's married. A journalist takes a picture of them and publishes it. Seham goes to see Halim.

Halim asks Ramses Naguib to star in the film 'The Empty Pillow' and singer Leila Mourad gives up her song 'Tekhonoh' composed by Baligh Hamdi to Halim. Gigi's husband, Shawkat, asks Halim to stay away from her, and she asks for a divorce. Ismail and Samira get married, and Halim sings at the wedding.

Halim buys Gigi a new apartment, and they prepare for their marriage. Gigi falls sick and needs to travel abroad to run some tests. El Mougy composes the song 'Every Word of Love' by Morsi Gameel Aziz. Abdel Qader El-Shennawy suggests that Halim establish a production company, and he admires Alyah.

Halim objects to the lyrics of the song 'Your Love Is Fire' by Morsi Gameel Aziz. It's revealed that Gigi has leukemia and her condition is terminal. She tries to make Halim forget about her by making him think that she will get back with Shawkat. Halim falls into a deep depression.

Halim finds out the truth about Gigi's medical condition and decides to marry her. Halim asks El Mougy to compose the songs for the film 'Love Street', which becomes a smash hit. Gigi passes away.

Halim grieves for Gigi. The Aswan High Dam opens in 1960 and Halim makes a song about it. Abdel Nasser asks Halim to educate the people about the achievements of the revolution through his songs. Halim meets actress Soad Hosny while filming 'Girls and Summer'. Alyah marries Abdul Qadir

Halim sings 'Bel Ahdan' (With Open Arms) by Salah Jahin to celebrate the Revolution Day. Abdel Hakim Amer is besieged in Syria, and calls for secession between Egypt and Syria increase. Abdel Nasser delivers a statement confirming the unity of the two states. Halim and El Mougy reconcile.

Al-Amrousy and Abdel Wahab create a branch to print the records, and the company’s name changes from 'The Arab World' to 'Voice of Art'. Halim prepares for the film 'The Sins', and invites actor Hassan Youssef to his house. Halim moves to his apartment in Zamalek. Firdous and Shehata get married.

Abdel Nasser decides to send troops to Yemen to fight Imam Al-Badr. Halim starts to rethink his next artistic move after a few setbacks. The poet Abdel Rahman El-Abnudi arrives in Cario, and he makes successful collaborations with other singers including Mohamed Roushdy.

Halim decides to collaborate with El-Abnudi who refuses to write songs for the revolution. Umm Kulthum objects to Halim singing with her. Halim sends a letter to the president, and Abdel Nasser tells him to prepare another concert. Mustafa Amin is arrested.

El-Abnudi writes the song 'El Toba' for Halim, and it becomes a huge success. Kamel El Shennawy objects to Halim singing the folklore type of songs and advises him to go back to his romantic style. El-Abnudi is arrested.

El-Abnudi decides to travel to Suez with the resistance, and before his departure, he asks Halim to sing 'Mawal El Nahar'. Umm Kulthum and Halim decide to sing for Egypt and collect donations for the army. Halim starts preparing for the film 'My Father Atop a Tree'.

El-Abnudi writes the song 'El Massih' for Halim. Alyah accuses her husband of cheating on her and asks for a divorce. Halim insists on having Hussein Kamal as the director of 'My Father Atop a Tree'.
