Mabrouk is a teacher who dreams of getting a raise to marry his colleague. He's offered a chance to give private lessons to the kids of a wealthy parents. But when an argument happens between the parents that leaves them both dead, Mabrouk becomes the guardian of their kids.
Mabrouk agrees with Safy to give private lessons to her children Kenzy, Tommy, and Tamatim. Rumuz Al-Hayat agrees with Ehab on a plan to make his sweetheart Tushakour leave her fiance, Mabrouk.
Rumuz lies to her daughter Tushakour and tells her that Ehab has a serious health problem, and that he has 3 months left to live. She asks her to go along with him and not refuse his requests. When Mabrouk sees Tushakour with Ehab, he gets angry, but she tells him what her mother told her.
As Mabrouk quarrels with Ehab, Ehab tells him that he is fine and that he is in very good health, which makes Mabrouk and Tushakour find out about Rumuz's lie.
As Tushakour quarrels with Ehab and teaches him a harsh lesson, Ehab decides to go to the police station and file a complaint against her. But he informs the officer that Mabrouk is the one who hit him, not Tushakour.
As Sidqy is waiting for the drugs to arrive from the senior teacher, he receives an e-mail and he goes to collect "the homework" (the drugs). Sidqy decides to hide the drugs in the clock.
Sidqy meets with the gang members, Bardawil and Tariq, and informs them of the agreed-upon plan to distribute drugs. As Sayed tries to convince Mabrouk to work with him in the drug trade, he refuses.
Mabrouk reports his friends to the police after he suspects that they are drug dealers. Tushakour goes to Sidqy's house and asks him and his wife to intervene to reconcile her with Mabrouk.
As Sidqy and his wife discover that the drugs are not in the clock, he goes mad and accuses his wife of theft, then shoots her and himself.
Mabrouk calls the police and reports the murder. Sayed tells Mabrouk that his real name is Hassan, and that he's a colonel in the anti-drug enforcement.
As Colonel Hassan asks Mabrouk to be part of his plan to help him arrest the members of the drug cartel, he agrees.
When the children of Sidqy and Safy come to the house and ask about their parents, Mabrouk refuses to speak with them. As Basma drugs Mabrouk and goes to the station to ask about them, the officer informs her that they died from poisoning.
Basma asks Mabrouk to leave the house. Rif'ay sneaks into the villa to search for the drugs, but he is surprised that it's not there; he holds a meeting with the gang members.
Basma puts Mabrouk in a dilemma after she asks him to take her and the children to the cemetery of her sister Safy, but Colonel Hassan intervenes and saves the situation.
When Basma goes to Sidqy and Safy's company and tells the manager that she will take over the business, Ziad and Kenzy refuse the matter and tell the manager that Mabrouk is the one who will be in charge of their father's business.
Mabrouk holds his wedding to Tushakour, and they live in the villa of Sidqy and Safy with their children. Basma joins the gang again.
The gang decides to kidnap Tushakour to pressure Mabrouk to return the drugs to them. Mabrouk asks Colonel Hassan to find his wife.
When Basma comes to the villa, Mabrouk tells her that his wife Tushakour is not home. Basma tells Mabrouk that the gang wants the drugs in the villa.
The senior teacher orders the killing of Samiha Shabashab, Bardawil's wife, because she said the name hashish instead of saying the word homework. Her husband asks the gang members to spare his wife, but they refuse.
As Bardawil shoots Samiha and throws her into the sea, in the presence of Rif'ay and Tariq, Tariq records a video of what happened.
Bardawil agrees with Basma to put a drug in Mabrouk and Tushakour's drink for them to fall asleep so that she's able to quietly search for the drugs at home.
Colonel Hassan asks his men to bring a detection dog to be able to sniff out the drugs in the villa. But when the Sergeant accompanying the dog lets him drink wine, the dog becomes unable to smell well.
Tushakour's mother marries a lawyer. As Bardawil sends an explicit threat to Kenzy, he sends someone to stab her in the arm and leave.
Tushakour tells the children that she suspects that Mabrouk is using drugs. As Mabrouk quarrels with her, Tushakour goes to her stepfather to file a Khula case against him. But Mabrouk comes and reconciles with her.
Mabrouk tells Basma that he is in love with her and wants to marry her. As Mabrouk meets all the gang members for the first time, he tells them he has the drugs.
The gang members discover that Bardawil did not murder his wife, Samiha, and that he only pretended to kill her. As they get angry with him, he asks them to forgive him and tells them that he could not kill his wife.
Mabrouk and Tushakour discover that the drugs are with the children, Tommy and Tamatim. The children tell them that they hid the drugs in the garden without knowing what they were.
Mabrouk devises a plan as he agrees with his relative to impersonate the senior teacher and goes to meet the gang to get 5 million dollars from them; the plan succeeds.
The actual senior teacher goes to the villa of Bardawil and Samiha and tells them that he issued an order to pardon Samiha some time ago. Bardawil tells him that someone has tampered with the messages in order not to reach him.
Tushakour gets a one-month prison sentence after she assaults Ehab. When the gangsters discover that Mabrouk has manipulated them and sent them a man impersonating the senior teacher, they kidnap one of his relatives.
Mabrouk sends a tape to the gang members telling them that he will give them the money and drugs only under one condition: that the senior teacher comes himself to take the stuff.
